Dr. Nitin Shah organizes free surgical and medical missions all over the globe.

Dr. Nitin Shah is currently a Professor of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at Loma Linda University and Chief of the Surgical ICU at Long Beach Veterans Healthcare System. His enthusiasm for teaching is matched only by that of residents and students fortunate enough to spend a day working with him.

Dr. Shah has a resume filled with research interests investigating a diverse array of topics that include Pulse Oximetry, Processed EEG, Controlled Hypotension, and Anesthesia Breathing Systems. Not only has he lectured internationally on these subjects, his broad range of interests has allowed him to deliver well respected presentations in Ambulatory Anesthesia and Critical Care.

As much a humanitarian as he is an academician, Dr. Shah has led the organizing efforts of over 350 national and international medical & surgical missions over the last 25 years. During these missionary ventures, he has introduced countless students, residents, faculty and volunteers to the benefits of helping those in need.

Dr. Shah’s humanitarian efforts are undertaken via Aparigrah Foundation, a non-profit organization that he started.

The objective of the foundation is to advise, organize and lead humanitarian efforts across the world. The organization primarily focuses on starting and scaling surgical and medical missions across the world.

With time, effort, compassion and love, Aparigrah Foundation is managed by Dr. Nitin Shah, Mr. Rohak Vora and Mrs. Kinna Gandhi.
